Thanks alot Greg,
Do you know what sort of accuracy iteadstudio can make the boards to? Have you ever had any trouble with the tracks being too close?

Re: LTC6802 based 12 cell slave.
Gregg, good luck with the LTC6802s, its certainly something I looked at at the very beginning and they are definitely a good IC. I'll be interested to know what final accuracy you can achieve with them. What company or contact do you have for making the PCBs? I'm wanting to send away a few PCBs for ...

Re: Old BMS Software Thread
Ah right ok, so the opto inverts the signal and so you invert it again in the master code.

Re: Old BMS General Thread
Isaac, how are the Xbees coming along? Have you tried using these yet. You'll probably need a MAX232 as well if you want to connect it to the PC for data logging.

Re: Old BMS Software Thread
Here comes probably an overasked question
.. so please forgive me....Just wanted to ask the logic of why all the serial signals are inverted from the PIC? e.g. N9600..
Why would the signal need to be inverted, instead of say making it true the entire time?

Re: Old BMS Hardware Thread
What is the pitch between the contacts for the jumpers on the master board? I'm assuming 2.54mm. I'm trying to upgrade the jumpers to Molex Microfit connectors when everything is tested and wanted to check the pitch with you.

Re: Old BMS General Thread
Also, does anyone know of decent software (hopefully free) for drawing schematics? Trying to keep on top of any changes we make and it would also be useful for other circuits our team is using for our electric car. Thanks

Re: Old BMS Software Thread
yeah thought so! Thats a pretty big balancing current... nearly 500mA. Does it work well? We've gone for around 350mA, but don't really want to push it much further.
