Re: Old BMS Software Thread

In PIC16F886 the pin of RX and TX are in pin 18 and 17, and in the master hardware picture those pin's are in pins 6 and 7. And about PIC12F683 the RX is connected in pin 2 and TX is connected in pin 7. But that was for PICAXE. Now the Pin's are different right? So where do i connect those pin's in ...

Re: Old BMS Software Thread

Hi guys.

I've been busy in last weeks.

Since we've migrated to the PIC16F886, the transmission pin's also changed right?

In relation to the PIC12, there were also changes.

What are the transmission pin's of PIC12?

Regards,

Francisco.

Re: Old BMS Software Thread

Hi there. Greg, the time issue probably is because the watchdog timer does not have sufficient resolution, which causes several errors. What you think? I talked with some people about PIC16 and PIC18, there is one PIC18 with the same characteristics and some more, PIC18F258, as the PIC16F886. It doe...

Re: Old BMS Hardware Thread

No Peter, i already have the boards done. thank you anyway. About the boards you are using right now, what are the versions? Slave board - V1.02 from 21/02/10 right? Master board - V2.0 from 21/08/09 right? About the crystal you don't loose any inputs. In the V2.0 Master board you have a resonator c...

Re: Old BMS Hardware Thread

I did ask this afternoon about the use of more than one timer at the same time and they told me there is no problem on going that way. the only thing they told me was that it was better to use an external oscilator (crystal) instead of using internal oscilator and the master board has the space for ...

Re: Old BMS Hardware Thread

The project is something like that. About the timers, I don't know how you are thinking to do it but if you are going to program a timer on the watchdog and then make the SoC in the master PIC, you probably have some timing errors, since you are always going to loose few miliseconds between communic...

Re: Old BMS Hardware Thread

I'm sorry the project is not on the internet, the code i can provide that but it is in C language, since i'm using a PIC24. To transmit a data stream i think it's not dificult, we just have to have all variables needed, but i don't know if the communication between different PIC's it's easy. In othe...

Re: Old BMS Hardware Thread

Thanks for reply, both of you. I'm using this one: http://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/en/DeviceDoc/51844a.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; At this moment this lcd screen is like an onboard computer, wich can display few things like speed, time and date, set of headlights, etc. But ...

Re: Old BMS Hardware Thread

Hi all. In last days I've been seeing your topic to see how works your BMS. I have some doubts: 1 - What exactly do the varistors? There are no other alternatives? 2 - In my application, I have a touch pad lcd screen, can I turn the screen to the video output or do I have to make an additional circu...
