Enjoyed Sparkford 2008, what's next?..... Lincoln? Fenland?

Postby ex925 » Tue Jul 01, 2008 7:37 pm

I had a great day at Sparkford. Sadly I cannot make L2B 2008.
Paul tells me there is to be an Electrathon in Lincoln soon.
Does anyone have details?
Also, is there a Fenland Rally this year? Does anyone have details?

N.B. If it's all in the "Plugged-In", or "BVS Review", my apologies, but I failed to spot either on the Forum, last time I looked.

All the best, from
Ed. in Plymouth.

I'm not sure of the arrangements but I think you'll find Stuart will be hosting one at his track in Mansfield Notts. I believe Mary has got someone who's taken on the organising of the event as it was originally going to be organised by Charles.

Next BVS Electrathon... from Ed. Gordon

Doh! Sorry, Too much welding, not enough reading. Finally overcame my fear and loathing of the pile of unattended paperwork. Then found Plugged-In-3. And of course there is the diary. Mansfield. August 16th. Charles Roden-Rhodes.

I apologise for asking dumb questions. I will try not to do that again.....
All the best.

Actually, it is Darren Scott that is organising it now, not Charles. I have sent you Darren's email address off forum.

There is also an event, the same weekend, at a circuit in Anglesey, so take your pick :-)
The Wales one is being organised by Frank Wykes.

Mansfield and Anglesey, from Ed. Gordon

Many thanks to you, St. Mary for that. You obviously detected that I might not have spotted the Anglesey option. You were correct. I am very grateful for that extra reminder. Anglesey is quite a bit nearer to Plymouth, and I can stop with friends on the way. Thus it is more likely I will make the Welsh option. Blessings be upon you. All the best. Ed.

Senior Moments... from Ed. Gordon

Postby ex925 » Thu Jul 10, 2008 9:50 am

I really must remember to check my facts, occasionally! From Google Maps, Mansfield, Nottingham, from Plymouth - not much over 200 miles. Anglesey race circuit, Ty Croes, from Plymouth - 368 miles. My best excuse? Must be because most of my journeys to parts of Wales were on motorcycles, most to the Nottinghgam area in cars..... Apologies. Ed.
