The reason for changing anti-freeze is because the corrosion protection wears out. The temperature protection never wears out unless it gets diluted by always topping up with water. A cooling system is basically a battery, 2 or more different metals (aluminium, copper, steel, etc that you find in a cooling system) and a electrolyte (the anti-freeze).

Good point greg , although as theres only one metal part really in the whole circuit, to my knowledge, which is the ally base of the controller, everything else is plastic, so little chance of any corrosion in our systems and therefore still little point in changing it ??
